It's surprising just how much hardware one can accumulate in such a short time. Hence SCSI hard drive clearout #2.
These drives were used in an old Pee Cee case that was just a Hard drive Box for my now sold VT4/Flyer/Sync combo!
All these drives are SCA80:

& will be supplied with an adapter. Each drive will be shipped with either of the following types of adapter. Please specify your requirements at the time of purchase.

Adapter #1

Adapter #2 SOLD to: SJBUK

There are:

3 x18GB SCA @ £11.50 each inc. UK shipping

18gb.jpg

4 x 9GB SCA £ SOLD to: SJBUK

9gb.jpg

All these hard drives have been dated 03/12/08 & signify they have all passed Low Level Formatting without Errors.
They were Checked at low level on a Pee Cee running XP pro & a Tekram SCSI III controller. All the drives allowed WindoZe to create partitions via Disk Management & are fully Error Free. How many hours!

Thanks for looking. :D

Kinnie, if when the disks are sold over you still have some 50 pin adaptors around, let me know!

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout #2

Kin Hell,

Do you have any 50 pin scsi drives up for grabs?

cheers,

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout #2

@ Brataccas

Yes! - 18Gb & 9Gb if you use the Second Adapter in the pics.

The SCA connector is on the back of the pics, so what you see in the Pic is what you can plug in after its fitted to the drive. Top adapter is only SCA - 68pin, but the bottom one is SCA to 68 & 50 pin.

I use to have a couple of genuine 50 Pin SCSI Drives a while back now. I haven't seen them in years tbh!

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout #2

Ahha! Ok i have a pile of 4.3gb 80pin SCA disks spare in my rack from some of my decommisioned proliants.. Likewise with rkauer if theirs any adapters available seperately after the disks then i`d like to be put down for some :)

cheers,

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout #2

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout #2

No worries, so long as you & rkauer can appreciate there are no adapters available until the hard drives are cleared.

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

Self Bump Folks. Prices on these devices is too good to miss!

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

Bargain mate. I'll take whichever is the quieter and if possible a 50pin adaptor. You have PM.

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

Those Barracudas you have are the double height versions or the lightweight ones?

Another PM for SJBUK! ;)

All these hard drives are Half Height Low Profile 3.5" form factor profiles! (Measures 1" or 25mm) This is floppy drive size!

18GB IBM'ers are a bit nosier than the 9Gb Barracuda-roo's! :D

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

@ SJBUK

Here's the pics of your Package. It should help you un-wrap the delivery.

4 x dinky Anti-Static bags = 4 x SCSI Converters
1 x "A" marked bag = Extra Jumpers if you need em (Shouldn't tho')
Fan-Guard is an 80mm size for ref. only!

Rip off brown paper to find Pic 2.
Cut tape as Pic 2 to Remove Grey foam insert to see Pic 1.

Hard drives should be pulled from the Foam Insert in one bubble-wrapped pack. Pull the brown tape to un-roll the 4 x hard drives.

Will post tommorow & PM you the details.

Cheers m8y,

Kin

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

Hey does that box has it's own fan fitted to keep the contents at optimum temerature and codensation free?
you take packing to the extreme at times kin 8)

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

LOL Gary. Just reference for Box size m8y but I take my packaging seriously. I've had too many things delivered in a smashed up state by the Hands of Royal Fail & Parcel Farce!

Once bitten, twice shy I guess! 8)

@ SJBUK

You have a PM Sir!

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

@kin
I think that qualifies as the best packaging of goods I've ever received!

Cheers mate.

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

I did put Fragile Stickers over all the Corners after I took the Pic. Lets hope it isn't a mangled mess when you get it! This is Parcel Farce after all!

If it is damaged in transit, please be sure to preserve the evidence!

Kin

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

Drives arrived in excellent nick, Parcel Farce came through for us :D

Cheeers Kin, about to leave feedback.

Re: SCSI hard drive clearout

A pleasure SJBUK. Some of those drives are probably already Amiga partitioned with some stuff on them.
Be sure to check the early start-up screen for boot options. I love using higher than 0 (default) for boot Prioritys, but never above 4. Just wouldn't want you to get to desktop & go "wtf"?

Feedback for you is done!

Best Wishes,

Kin
