I have one installed in my Mac SE/30. I installed it not for its speed, but more for its reliability. It replaced an aging Quantum 80MB SCSI drive that was also very loud. It works very well, I highly recommend getting one if you want more reliability, less noise, and also it's good if you want to swap a drive out for something else (eg. different operating system).

The only Amigas I have are IDE or CD only (CD32), so I just use a CF to IDE adapter there.

From the specs:
* Artificial limits on the SCSI disk size (eg. limit size to 4G to avoid OS )

so at least 4g is supported

I've got a 2GB SD card in mine, formatted OK. Again, this is for System 7 on Mac, but the adapter took the card fine so it should be OK for Amiga too.

The compatibility blurb states compatibility with the following Amiga models...

Commodore Amiga 500+ with GVP A530
Commodore Amiga 500 KS 1.3 with Oktagon 508 SCSI-2 controller
Amiga 2000 (B2000 rev 6.4 ECS) with DKB RapidFire SCSI 1 card
Amiga 4000 equipped with CyberStorm PPC using 68pin adapter

I wonder if it would work on an A4000 with a WarpEngine?

If it works on the above then it should :)

Thanks Steve I think I might get me one of these, looks nice

Probably wont be very fast though, I don't expect you will get speeds like a real scsi-ide adapter. Probably be similar to IDE speed so bare that in mind, your USB will probably be faster!

Whaaaa!! Really? Why is that Steve?

The other all in one devices like the SCSI Multi Card readers and AztecMonster are like this so I expect similar results.

Best performance will always come from a proper SCSI-IDE bridge and real ATA HDD.

These are great for convenience but if you seek performance then it's probably not the product for you.

If anyone does have one it would be really interesting to know what speeds they get on SCSI-2 so you can make an informed decision.

Well you could give it a go, I'm sure you could sell it on if you're not happy with it :)

I thought the AztecMonster was supposed be the same speed as the separate bridge? Was seriously thinking of getting one this summer.....

@CrazyC I'm sure someone said it was slower, I could be wrong but a lot of guys have them so you could put up a thread or even search, maybe there are some benchmarks :)
