Hi all, as i understand it the SD2SNES is fitted with a SuperCIC region chip making it compatible with any unmodded snes from any region.

Well i have 15 Super Famicom here that a friend has ordered from Japan and my SD2SNES won't work on any one of them.

It works fine on my Pal Snes so i know the hardware works and all 15 Super Famicoms work fine with original JAP/US carts but when i put in the SD2SNES all i get is a black screen with lines across. If i put the SD2SNES in without the SD card it tells me "no SD card found" so it must be picking the cart up.

I have tried all manner of firmware downgrades/upgrades but still nothing.

So on that note, anyone know how to get the SD2SNES working on a Super Famicom?

And resolved :)

i messaged ikari through his website and he suggested that the pal ac adapter will power the super famicom but only barely as they require a dc psu. Plugged in my mega drive power supply and sd2snes boots fine

(y) I had a similar issue with my MD/MCD/32x setup with my Everdrive last year. When I checked the plugs I'd realised I'd used my Master System one on one of the units rather than the more powerful Megadrive PSU.
