I have one recapped Sega Game Gear for sale. I have recapped Sound board and power board (smd, electrolytic and ceramic caps), and the main board (ceramic caps) (2 chips version). There is no picture, but i can hear sound from games. I tried to change LCD for known working, but there is no picture even after that. So the problem is in the main board somewhere, and i have no enough knowledge to fix the problem. There was minor battery leaking, which i neutralized and cleaned.
