Today I have for sale my multi-region switchless Sega Multimega for sale.
Comes with Mickey Mania original game (CD Only and does have some marks but plays fine), Power Cable, RGB Scart cable & 2 six button conrollers. The second controller is the same as the one in the picture but is not pictured as i've only just found it.
This machine is multi-region.
If you tap the reset button for 1 second or less the console reset as normal.
If you hold the reset button for 1-2 second the led will flash and the console will switch between 50 & 60hz.
Finally if you hold the reset button for 5 or more seconds the led will change colour and the console will switch region.
When the LED is Green the console will be set to 50hz PAL (UK) and the CD will play PAL European original games.
When the LED is Orange the console will be set to 60hz NTSC English (USA) and the CD will play USA original games.
When the LED is Red the console will be set to 60Hz NTSC (Japanese) and the CD will play Japanese original games.
Sadly the LCD display on the front does not work.
Lastly, although there is no copy protection I've tried booting backups with different types of media but i've not managed it so far. This is not a fault with the machine, the multimega/cdx is documented on various places around the web as being hit and miss when trying to boot backups. My previous multimega didn't boot them either. Original games boot everytime without fail.
This is a fantastic machine and in good clean condition. It is also listed on Ebay at a higher price (and only one controller) but i will end that if i get serious interest over here.
