Sega Nomad + Cheap 3.5 LCD = Rolling screen (Video attached)

I bought a cheap LCD 3.5 inch screen to do the screen replacement mod for my Nomad (NTSC).

Before taking the Nomad (NTSC) apart I tested the screen using an AV cable from AV out of the Nomad to AV in of the LCD.

The result is a rolling picture with bad colours.

Same screen works fine with my NTSC C64 DTV

I tried two AV cables and also tried both AV in ports of the LCD.

Why is it doing this ?

Happened to me this, its because the new LCD is a newer model. I bought another one from another company in the end, worked a treat.

How can I choose one without it being a $20 gamble ?

Yer its difficult mate, just luck
