I'd like to get a self-powered 3.5" floppy enclosure. Anyone got any ideas /sources/ something they no longer need :) , ideas that may help me out?

why?

It's to attach a 3.5" floppy drive (that I've already got) to a BBC Micro. A Master Compact that doesnt have a power out for a floppy drive..

OK, I do have an external psu that I can hook up to the 3.5" drive but its potentially a little messy with lots of wires running to and fro, so I was hoping someone may know of a commercial 3.5" enclosure that already has its own PSU?

Or even if someone has a self-powered 3.5" drive that has a dead drive, that I could persude to pass on amd swap my working drive into?

I'l post a want ad, but does anyone have any ideas if such drive enclosures are out there?

cheers! :)

For my external Amstrad 3,5" drive I just made a DC jack to molex adapter cable and powered a regular 3,5" floppy unit from a 5V wall wart. If you can get your hands on a dead regular height Amiga external drive, just remove the controller board and floppy mechanism then make room for floppy cable and DC jack in the back and put a new floppy drive in.
