Anyone who donated during the kickstarter, did they receive their books? I would like to hear any opinions about the book, as it seems possible to order ir from here as well: http://readonlymemory.vg/ (and I want some opinions before purchasing)

I got mine the other week. It's well written and I'm half way through it but the one thing I will say is that the cover / slip sleeve is awful (minor point I know - but it is!). Dreadful design (no thought whatsoever went into the design) and it just looks and feels like it would if you were trying to cover a school book. Poorly done. Even if you take the slip case off - you're greeted with quite a flimsy front and back with even worse design...

The book content though is good :)

Would I still buy it if I knew about the poor cover quality? Yes.

Cheers

John

Thanks John. Apart from the design what about the quality of the paper? The same as we see in todays magazines?

I've got mine, and i'm reading it when i'm done with my current book.

... which is Chris-Ann Brennan's biography about steve jobs. So far I've got i feel like I've been reading an ad for LSD.

Thanks John. Apart from the design what about the quality of the paper? The same as we see in todays magazines?

The paper is the same as you would expect in a normal book - quite a bit better paper than a paperback and not as good as a hardback. The colour pages are better than a magazine - thicker.

Keeping mine for a little while, as I have plenty to keep me occupied at the moment. ;)
