Due to my upcoming rig upgrade, I'm going to lose my capability to write various images to floppies. There are a few other options like HxC and such available but then again, I have my A4000 and A1200 networked and set up with floppy disk drives.
Would it be hard to write a program for Amiga that would do the same as various programs do on PC? I'd mostly be writing Amstrad and Spectrum images as AmigaExplorer enables me to write ADFs on an Amiga over the net and to my understanding, with OS3.X I can format DOS disks on Amiga, which my ST can read.
My other option would be to get a cheapest a$$ laptop that has native floppy drive and runs XP. I just don't have the space to set up another rig for dedicated floppy writing.
