Spare time obviously old computer and consoles, gym and an armchair sports fan :)

Used to be GM, VP, etc. in the aerospace industry for 18 years after having engineered lots of fun stuff on lots of civil and military airplanes, now running a hotel in Far North Tropical Queensland, in Australia. I've bumped into Amiga during my engineering studies in 1991...

I'm a web developer and designer. I'm an open source advocate and I developed quite some open source libraries used all over the world.

Hobbies, too many probably.

Retrocomputing and gaming in general. I like to build stuff... I'm building myself a mame arcade cabinet right now. I'm also a mechanical keyboards enthusiast, I built myself a dozen keyboards and counting. In a couple of months I'll release my first commercially available keyboard. I also like to build scale models and paint miniatures. I'm not a sports guy, but I enjoy the olympics. I'm an avid sci-fi devourer, video and books...

I've worked for my local hospital for nearly 37 years. First two years as a chippy. Since then I've been managing the Estates HelpDesk software.

I'm taking my pension on the 28th of this month and then going back part time :D Only eleven more working days but who's counting

My main hobby is my filming business. Anything from weddings to funerals to video transfer and loads of other stuff inbetween!!

Bev and I have now both got a grand daughter each so that keeps us busy a lot of the time.

Then of course my Amigas keep me busy with any spare time I happen to find.

I am the finance manager for a charity that does fostering and adoption (almost 9 years now).
Interests include time spent with my young family (wife and 2 daughters, 10 and 8), Amiga's etc and a bit of watching footie on the TV. As the girls do ballroom dancing we also decided to take a beginners course, which is fun.

Work: I'm a field technician replacing electric meters and gas meters, so my job is not without hazards.
While the customers and location vary, the work is basically the same and you stand, sit on your knees, busy with a wrench, always getting little cuts and so on which is why after doing this for a decade, I'm starting to search for something new.

Spare time: Although I'm single for a long time I'm ready for the world of kids and a wife, but the job sometimes pushes you to the limits of what you physically can endure, so if I have the energy and time I'd like to go out with friends, anything goes from movies to bbq to indoor skydiving.

Also like photography and filming, the ultimate dream would be storm chasing in the US and yeah I've been following since about 1997/1998, but it really took off around 2008, but still have to get my first chase because it so expensive!
That said I always try to follow livestreams if it really looks good, I get updates real time, so if something happens over there, I will know.
But your basic tornado forms at around 6 pm, so that means it's in the middle of the night here in the Netherlands 3 am or later, so keeping that up is only possible if I have vacation or an extended weekend.

Hinted above is that I like movies, so I also watch at home, don't have much of setup as my space is very limited at the moment, but the PC is able to play most Bluray's and if not, I'll hook up the Sony, and sound is coming form a Logitech Z5500 set, so enough for me at the moment.
I would love a big screen and some better and larger speakers, but it's not possible for now.

If I'm not up for something, I'll just sit behind my PC and play games or listen to music, yes besides an extensive mp3 collection I can also match that with the original single cd's and albums, I do have a lot of the 90's!

Also like to tinker with Amiga's and from time time play a game, but it's gone down a lot.
I try to go to events, but it's just not possible to go to them all, thought about going to the US 30th event, but didn't have enough funds for that, so I'm going to Germany.

I also enjoy fast cars, so if anyone takes me to an event, I'm happy to tag along.
Ultimate dream again would be the Texas Mile or the Unlim500+ but the last one is only possible if a friend speaks Russian, cause I can't :)

My job title is 'Technical Lead' at a large gaming company, I used to be a website front-end developer, then went on to team management but am now in a consultancy role as we use offshore development partners.

Outside of work I love all kinds of retro computing, both using and collecting, I have a pretty extensive collection of consoles and games, many of which are new and unused. I also collect old star wars toys (for which I run this forum), 90s drum & bass/hardcore records (I used to be really in to DJing) and I'm also a big car fan, although I now commute to work by train so can't justify having a nice car any more as I do hardly any driving.

I am Health, Safety & Environment / HR Manager at a chemical plant in East Manchester. I've been doing this 'professional spoilsport' work for 10 years where I am now and previously for 4 years at Shell. My wife is disabled and as she gets older I find that I have less spare time than I used to.

My hobbies (when I get spare time) include retro computers (naturally), WW2 military aviation history and motorcycling. I also seem to be the local 'Go to' guy for fixing computers where I live, something that I am trying to cut back on. I hate laptops with a passion that you could not imagine in your wildest dreams.

Job
I'm an IT Support Engineer - my job title is Senior Support Engineer and I've been working at this company now for 5 years.
I mostly do 2nd/3rd line support and I lead a team of 1st line techies.
It's mostly telephone support but I do get to visit customer sites etc.

Spare Time
Computing - retro and new stuff. I'm mostly into Amigas and Amstrad CPCs for retro as it's these that I grew up with, although anything goes really - if I like the look of it, and what it can do, I get it.
Music - I'm really into my 80s and 90s Rave/House/Dance music - I still go to the odd rave here and there even now, although I tend to be the oldest person there, which is scary considering I'm only 32.
Other than that, can't really say much else. I'm not massively a "people person" these days and have been single for quite some time (although I do really enjoy the single life) - doubt I'll ever "settle down" with family/kids etc.

I get the same problem - although you can substitute "inlaws" with friends/family/extended family I've not seen for years/friends of friends that I don't even know/etc.
