I thought i'd put my pics up here as well since they seem more relevant here. This is the gbs 8220 in use with my Samsung 40" LED 8000 series tv :)

Yep, don't compare it to an RTG card or Indy .. :)

Personally I think it's a great solution for running games on an LCD, I definitely prefer it over having the big bulky 1080 or 1084 but to each its own ...

hi the 8200 is an older version

Ah I didn't notice the model number :)

OK another question; from the info provided it seems that the 8200 will do RGBHV & RGBS via the DB15 input

but the 8220 does RGBS only via the white connector?

is this just an "engrish" translation issue or accurate?

I have an Amigakit Amiga-RGB to VGA adaptor coming in the mail, with either of these boards can I use the adaptor and a VGA-VGA cable to connect my 500+ to a GBS82xx unit?

do you mean a vga to vga lead to the rgbhv signal input?

I mean:

a500+ -> DB23/DB15 Adaptor -> VGA Cable -> GBS etc

:)

im asking because if it connects to the rgbhv signal input on the gbs i think the v/sync on the amiga is inverted so i dont think it will work.

well thats if that cable you talking about uses those signals from the amiga.

can anyone else confirm this?:)

ah ok, I wasnt aware of that - wasnt even sure if the amiga RGB was the S or HV variant.

not at all, im interested to know the details.

Btw, I discovered I have a SCART_RGB-to-Component transcoder in my old HT junk box that a mate had custom made to fix an issue with Topfield 5000pvrT's putting out oversaturated colours - might have to grab an Amiga to Scart cable and see if it chokes on the 15khz sync rate. :lol:
