SOLVED - Downloaded NewIcons not displaying on WB 3.9

Hi. I have a WB 3.9 setup with newicons style icons all over the place. I downloaded a few packs off Aminet and non of them seem to show correctly. I tried downloading AES4 as an example which I'd already downloaded ages ago and is displaying fine and in the new download, all I see is the tiny rectangles I'd expect on an older 3.0 or 2.0 WB without newicons running. I feel like I'm doing something stupid but I can't figure it out. Any bright ideas much appreciated. AIUI, I shouldn't need to run newicons or have newicons.library installed since it's > 3.5.

Silly question, run Workbench prefs and check if the No NewIcons box is ticked.
