Hi i know its not retro but i thought i would share my first attempt at macro photography

Using a Canon 1200D and some extention tubes with the 18-55 kit lens

i love how the spider is just not interested in the ants as they constantly attack him for no reason..

really nice mate,will you be getting a tripod in the future?

I do have a tripod but was just in the garden and couldn't be botherd to go and get it

The ants dragged it quite a bit though

ps no-snail was harmed here and was put back in the garden after some lettuce

Getting into it now mate and the music works well for the subject (y) . I had my old camera out today doing some macro shots of another joystick top with different flash setups and diffused light.


Two snails, deeply in love were sliding across the lawn singing Chanson d'amour. Along came the gardener with his lawn mower singing "rat tee tat tee tat"! :LOL: :run:

I just got a lovely new lens for my OMD EM-5... an Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 Pro... we were watching telly this morning and a chuffin frog suddenly appeared looking through the window so I thought I would go out in the rain and see if it did macro ok, its great :D
