Hello, everyone, I decide to sell my beloved PRO CRT Sony Trinitron The Cube 27'' model PVM-2730QM because I currently no longer have the space to put it.
It is a 1986 PRO FEEL CRT SONY TRINITRON monitor...really practically NEW and never used, powered up only sometimes in order to verify that is work correctly. Never repaired, never touched, never used...it look astonishing!
Why never used?
Because, as I always do with my beloved electronics, when I can I tend to buy 2, one for use and one for conserve.
It has got its original working Sony dedicated remote controller. I have also the original box of that monitor too !!! Unfortunately I've lost the original internal polystyrene packaging of the Sony box.
In this sales announcement I include in the price also another identical Sony Cube PVM-2730QM (not in the photos) which works well but it was heavily used in the past so now it powers up and you can display every signal but its cathode ray tube it is worn-out and looks like typical green effect images near the angles. It also has got its original remote controller, but actually that one doesn't work.
So...that second monitor is only useful for eventually future spare parts (obviously not its cathode ray tube).
Returning to the first monitor...it is a very very rare piece of very good hardware for its time...and nowadays is it extremely rare in this shape and like new working conditions. A very must for a retro computer 15KHz enthusiast...I'm reluctantly getting rid of it to make room in my growing son's bedroom.
Today I power up the monitor in order to make these attached photos...but I am obviously available to do all the tests and photos that a seriously interested person could rightly ask me to do.
Today I connected that to my Commodore 128 in 80 and 40 column mode (so RGBi and Composite via Scart) and unfortunately I have discovered that my C128 actually has a a problem as you can see in the photos, than I connected to my Amiga1200 via RGB Scart and again I connected to my Playstation2 via RGB Scart too.
As you can see in the photos that monitor can take a very interesting set of inputs, very useful for almost all 15KHz retro stuff.
I think that the photo can't explain very well the great, wonderful, astonishing looking condition of the monitor. As always, taking a snapshot of an image displayed on a CRT monitor does not do justice to the perceived quality, but in person the quality of the images displayed on this professional monitor is truly impressive.

The sore point is obviously the transportation, the monitor itself weighs about 50 Kg...so it's not that easy to move.
My request for all the stuff...2 Sony PVM-2730QM (one like new and one with the cathode ray tube worn-out) monitors with its Sony original remote controllers, 1 Sony original box is 1200 euros PayPal friends and family payment type, shipping cost excluded and actually to be calculated based on the destination place.
I am from Italy...so if there were any Italians who wanted to collect it from my house, the price would obviously be negotiable in this case.
Thank you all for your attention and, as I was saying, I am willing to do any other tests on the monitor that you will ask me and also obviously to take other photos on request.
Thanks
Damiano
Edit:
In agreement with the interested person, I am modifying this advertisement by offering a Sony PVM-2042QM monitor instead of the second PVM-2730QM monitor (the one with the CRT tube worn-out).
I am therefore modifying the selling price for these 2 monitors to 1450 euros.
