SOLD

Used only for short periods since buying in an apparently unused state 5 years ago, but really I don't need this and haven't found I had much interest in using it - whereas to some it's a kind of holy grail of motherboards [or was] - fast P4 processor, agp, pci and isa slots allowing you to put together something that can span a wide range of games. I've used it with a 3dlabs card + V2sli + SB Live + SB16, but last time I used it I needed more PCI slots and didn't need isa at all...

Unfortunately there is a bulging capacitor on the board - see photo - though as it's a big fat capacitor it's probably not hard to fix. Board worked last time I used it but that capacitor bothers me hence sale thread.

Details:
Intel i845PE

Lan on-board
4x agp [1.5v only]
4 pci slots
3 isa slots
ddr2, max 2gb
fsb 400/533

£50 plus postage. I have the CD, manual [quick start guide], the box, but I cannot find the backplate so assume that will not be included.

CPU and ram NOT included. Heatsink NOT included. The bottom part of the hsf mount that is screwed to the motherboard WILL be included.

Paypal gift only.

These are nice motherboards, and takes you about as far as you can go in setting up a DOS system with P4 support. I've used these same boards myself, and they will often run fine, even with bad power regulator caps. The caps are easy to replace, and finding a P4 mainboard that has ISA is uncommon. The reason this is significant is that DOS games do not work with most if not all PCI based sound cards, and if they do, the sound is usually terrible. Being able to use ISA based sound cards makes this board pefect for running early FPS like Doom II or Heretic, and all of the rest of the great DOS stuff .. MAME, etc. Good luck with the sale and anyone that snaps this up will get a great board.

I have the box, the manual the board came with [actually called a Quick Start Guide] and I have sorted out the driver CD.
