Not quite.

+2, +3, +2A.

The +2A came after the +3, it was designed to be +3 compatible, but had the tape drive as standard instead of the floppy to make it more-compatible with existing Spectrum titles.

really?

i didnt know that :-)

my spectrum ownership ended after the Spectrum+

From my understanding I believe Amstrad pulled the +3 because it was a direct competitor to Amstrads own line of 'business' micro computers:(. I've got a +3 speccy and Final Fight on disk somewhere in my loft, sadly the disk drive is dead :Doh:

Some really interesting comments on here, ironically back in the day the grey +2 was supposed to be the best Amstrad speccy as it was the most compatible with the games. I believe the +2a and +3 had some issues with games, connected music from the back of my mind somewhere..

Absolutely incredible :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Thank you so much for posting, and actually these clips encapsulated why I stuck with the speccy until the very end of 92 i.e. watching people create stunning pieces of work from such a humble machine:bowdown:

That's blown me a away actually:blink::thumbsup:

ha ha youtube is full of speccy vids and other 8bit wonders ...

how they think of LAN , CF readers and sound cards ( AY chip) on the speccy is beyond me

all fantastic stuff and great full , if i had a sack of money if buy all of em just for the fun of testing them
