Re: Spot the computer

This is going to make me sound very sad, but they completely missed out of the episodes of Neighbours that had Amiga A500's actively being used in them. They were seen in the homes used by the families for school homework and word processing, and the the Lassitoers hotel, and the doctors office managing their accounts. :)

Re: Spot the computer

There was a series (soap) on the financial district in London, I believe it was called "The City" and it quite often showed an Amiga 2000. Can't find anything on the series now though...

Re: Spot the computer

Last year there was an episode of 'Bones' which featured a black painted A1200 with some weird box attached to it. It's somewhere on YouTube IIRC....

Black painted 1200 with white keyboard, 5.25" floppy drives...

...and the sound of Mike Mier's cell phone on the fake game...

What about "The IT Crowd"? it has a "few" classic computers in the office, the first season it had a PET in most shots. Because I am from North America, I am not familar with most of the units in the back ground.

Thanks for that bit, I was wondering what it was. They never were released in Canada. Looks like another 6502 based Computer......all thanks to Chuck.

The Oric Atmos (made by Tangerine Computers) is a lovely machine ... the quality of the games are very good for it's time.
