Okay.

I have some amiga gear x2. Also software.

I'll find one title (game) and one of my joy sticks (Zip Stick). It's the award. And I urge everyone to find something to throw into the "pot".

This is the competition:

1. Until midnight december 31st 2009 GMT+1, guess correctly as many pictures as you can?
2. I will post the first picture. Guess it correctly, and you post the next picture.
3. The picture poster selects the picture poster who guessed correctly
4. The picture has to be of a part of the hardware, not the whole.
5. It has to be amiga hardware
6. If you don´t make a new question at least 12 hours after guessing one, I will make one for you.
7. After the deadline, I or a moderator will count who has the most correct guesses, and we have a winner.

If I find anything else in my gear that I have x2 of and people pledge something else nice as prize - I might pledge something cooler than a joystick. But this is to get the ball running. Lets see if we can make it a cool new year for someone knowledgeable.

PS. I can play this game, but I cannot win. I participate for the fun!

Score so far:
AndyLandy: 4 points
rkauer: 1 point
arnljot: 2 points (just for fun, not for prizes)
Phantom: 3 points (I said he'd be fierce!)
UberFreak: 5 points
Zetr0: 2 points
Thaoe: 1 point

Prizes so far:
1. Zip Stick joystick
2. Incomplete copy of OS3.5 (only box and CD)
3. A copy of a game
4. Incomplete copy of Frontier Elite (only box and disks, I'll confirm them working later).

CIA chips?

Not sure if you wanted us to guess what the picture was a whole part of, as in Amiga motherboard, or the chips within the picture.

This is a little part of one piece of Amiga hardware.

You have to say which hardware it is.

It's not a Cyberstorm PPC, but if it was you'd win the honor of making the next question in the line which leads up to midnight December 31. GMT+1

It could be delfina, toccata, deneb.. etc. Anything which you'd find inside an amiga which is an assembly of components constituting an expansion for a very lovable system....

There's a date of 1989 on the PCB, and the very bottom looks like the edge of a PGA CPU -- I'd guess it's a CPU accelerator card of some kind, 68020 or 68030 for an A500/1000/2000. All the other miggies are too new for it.

/me goes off to look at photos of accelerator boards.

I think I´ve hinted enough. I´m kinda surprised at AndyLandy that he´s tipping his hand before telling me what he sees.

Well, I've been through bboah and amiga.resource.cx and looked at all the accelerators on there and I can't tell which it is.

If I had to guess, I'd suspect it's a C= 26x0 or a GVP Impact 3xxx card.

I´m not sure what kind of hints I can give you guys, as Andy is very close, but haven´t looked at all the pictures, or at least not cloesly enough.

One final hint perhaps?...

In it´s name, this hardware has a word which can be related to a recent flu.

Sorry Antonis.

I feel that I can´t help anymore without saying what it is exactly.

AndyLandy has established it´s an 1989 amiga accellerator/cpu expansion of some kind.

It´s featured on either bboah or amiga.resource.cx.

It´s name contains a word related to the name of a recent flu.

I´m being so restrictive, because it needs to be a propper competition.

I´m considering putting in an A3640@25mhz newly fixed by Anthony of NZ if someone else also puts in something in the prize pot.

So find out what accellerator is in the picture, and be the next one to torment the amibay members by withholding hints. :)
