Normally having my birthday so close to Christmas has been a bit rubbish, but this year Star Wars was released at the perfect time.

I'm off to see it again today with my wife. I will let you know what I think of the film after a second viewing, as I came away a bit disappointed the first time. Although it was still emotional.

My wife has also baked me some cool Star Wars cup cakes. Will be trying those later after the roast beef dinner my mum is cooking. :-)

The film was definitely better the second time. The first time was more lump in the throat moments, but for some reason the second time it felt more complete.

I still can't stand Kylo Ren. The actor is too insipid and wet. Fine until he took his mask off. Should of had some dark side/Sith disfigurement.. although that light saber across his face should help sort that for the next film. I did like Grand Master Snoke though. Nice and evil and that large seated hologram looked brilliant. Stupid name though. . But not quite a stupid as Captain Plasma. . and what a huge plot hole. Why would she give in so easily to lower the whole base's shields?
