Weeeeelllll.........
I am not a big movie fan, so I don't know much  BUT it is xmas time, and I have much spare time :p especially at night time... So I have grabbed a couple of movies I really enjoyed, Drorian Gray / Watchmen / Hellboy 2 (past ones I enjoyed where The League of Extraordinary men, Hulks, X-Men) ... As you can see I am not so fond or realistic ones :p and I am all out of ideas now... what else to watch? Any similar titles come to mind?
Thanks in advance for any pointers! (y)

You have several xmen films to watch. Also the fantastic 4 films are similar.

Finally, the planet of the apes films are good.

You might want to check out District 9. It's supposed to be very nice. We bought it, but I haven't watched it yet. Too much work to do.

"Terminator Salvation"

....but you need to be familiar with all the previous films & really loved them, for it to make any sense. ;)

On my list would be:

Blade Runner
Blade Runner Directors Cut
Blade Runner Blue Ray (I know, I don't have a Blue Ray player, so..)

and then...

Blade Runner is always a good watch..

;)

Unfortunately, it's more in the "realistic" vein, but it's my favorite sci-fi movie ever...

If you like Star Trek, or like to laugh at Star Trek, or like to laugh at people who like Star Trek (yes, it appeals to all of those groups at the same time), you should see Galaxy Quest...

p.s. Have you seen Blade Runner yet?

That film Merlin stated, is with Robin Williams right? The robot that wanted to be a human? Great film, but that's not action, it's full of drama.

Bicentennial Man.

Sorry, couldn't ressist. Really?
This is absolutely one of my favorite movies ever. Good on ya Merlin for having good taste. :)

Blade Runner is definitely a classic. I actually like most of the films mentioned so far in this thread. :) I also really enjoyed The Last Mimzy. It's got a big kid's twist on it, but it is a really good movie. It's an excellent update of the original short story "Mimsy Were the Borogoves" that it is based upon. Of course, I've heard many people just don't get it, but I wonder when those people lost all their imagination. :)

Bicentennial Man is a good movie, havent seen it in years though, shame it bombed at teh box office. I like the following:

Doom
Star Wars Originals
Titan AE
The Matrix trilogy
Alien

And not action, but must watch:
Spaceballs
Corpse Bride
Monty Python and The Holy Grail
