I have an Idea, every Sunday we should pick a game, Game that has no cheat codes, and post our highscores, screen shots with your cellphone and slap them on the board. VIP highscores & game name. We could vote what kind of game we pick through the week - That would be fun. I think we have or used to have similar thing- :ninja:

it would be hard to police against cheating, as most cracked games came with a trainer. Even with UAE you can use UAE to cheat in some, if not most games.

I'd rather say that each game should be voted forward throughout the week, say sunday to wednesday is nomination day, then you (since you brought the idea forward) collect the nominations and run a poll from wednesday through friday. Then the weekend is screenshot time.

We'd have to let the consciousness of members keep them from cheating, unless you demand them to come play it at your rig at your house, there's little you can do to be sure, except make a lot of rules that makes it harder to participate.

You could however ask that with each entry, people should tell if they played on real hardware or on UAE. On some games, even NTSC/PAL settings could give slight differences.

Cheats only cheat themselves. Posting a score that isn't your own would be so lame

If there were a status to it e.g. a trophy, money or other prize then I could understand the introduction of strict rules, but if it's just a bit of fun then I can't see cheating really mattering. It would be fun to discover the cheats too i.e. people posting impossible scores and the like. They could be added to a Hall of Shame.

I vote for a buggy boy competition. I was playing that on Saturday and the Amiga version is brilliant. It's a very tough game due to it looking very 3D, but playing very 2D. I think it would be perfect for a competition.

I would suggest Streets of Rage, because it's hilarious and briliant, but it's a Megadrive game. You can raid bins for roast meat, which restores health to full upon consumption.

...and who could forget Adam's leather trousers?
