Is there even a "pro" version ? I think they are all just AD516's ...
 
That's the point I would love to know.
If this card is a "normal" AD516 Rev. 2.0 I would leave it for the next in line since I got a boxed Rev.2.1.
 
I don't believe these cards ever had a model called 'Pro'.
I think this all started when some sellers wanted to pass on the fact that they were more used as 'Professional' sound cards for studio-type recording, rather than ones used just for playback by the general public. Remember that these cards were not released with any AHI drivers, and therefore not a useful card for playback within WB until much later in their life when they were added.
The 'Professional' wasn't really part of the card's name but seems to have morphed into 'Pro' and sometimes get attached to the card's title - as in "AD516 Pro" but this is really not a true name.

No mention of any Pro-version - and apparently no mention-worthy bugs in any revision. :-)

The 516 was the pro version there was an ad1216 or something like that that was the non pro version of the same thing...

If you mean the AD1012, then this was a mono 12-bit recording card, but it was still targeted at professional use and came with the same studio software and no AHI drivers.
