selling my recently refurbed NTSC SX-64,

all work done by TheCorfiot.

Keyboard was broken in transit and stripped, cleaned, glued / reassembled (it looks very well done)
F7 key needs a new spring (will try sort this before i sell it) Repaired, replaced missing spring.

case is in good condition, handle and end caps, monitor works perfectly.

small issue with the top row of characters can give corruption, TheCorfiot explained this might need a new PLA or Vic, he didnt have an NTSC one spare to hand.

will provide a handful of disks with utilities and original Xmas sx-64 Demo disk.

if you want to pay the extra shipping costs I will throw in a 300w step down transformer with USB. its been used Once to try the SX-64.

£220 £200 + p&p (UK Postage is £31 UPS next day signed for/ insured)

here is what he has done.

It's all in bits on my bench. Monitor removed and set aside for now. Running it with ext video. It's bare so it is now just a c64 and 1541 with easy access to all.

Mainboard is now running, SID was dead so just pulled it.
Replaced Color RAM and multiplexor, the PLA was misbehaving so i have another in there now.
Colors onscreen now correct, Diagnostic card is now passing the mobo except for sound

Keyboard works but i will need to strip it and clean the membrane contacts.

The Drive Mech is out, needs new Belt, temp fitted and i'm going to have to tweak its alignment, its not far off but it is off.

and more work

It's almost back together and looking very good, Keyboard 100% working

The SID you sent worked fine, I fitted it all channels work.

I'm still not 100% happy with the replacement PLA I fitted, I'm going to borrow a Plankton and see what that does..
The system works fine but the first row of characters can corrupt due to PLA timing, note it's not RAM corruption just display corruption so it doesn't crash.

The Drive is 100% aligned and reads the discs that came with it fine now

OK, need to see how to implement a DRIVE ID switch now
you can select 8 or 9 with drive switch
Drive ID switch fitted at rear out of the way.

I can vouch its in very good condition apart from the repaired keyboad lid, but the repairs to that are pretty good too.
