This is a simple instruction on how to modify the Teac FD-236HF Drive for use on the Amiga and still give 2 disk drive support.

I did this for my amiga 2000.

Hope this helps some people. =)

@kjmann: Excellent! By the way, does this jumper removal constitute the drive as a df0 or a df1?

This mod is for most applications but it may be intolerant for certain games.

The jumper removal simply frees up pin 2 for the jumper wire.

The problem is the Amiga requires the pin #34 active, too.

So a cut & cross is necessary for Amiga operation, if the drive have the READY signal (most modern floppies lacks this signal).

That is a good point as it needs the ready signal put there.

to make this drive completely compatible I Ran a Wire From pin 30 to a piece of solid copper wire and inserted in directly into the unused Pin 34 (Unused do to my bending the pin up) spot on the ribbon Cable. this made the drive function 100% and allowed it to work with 2 or more drives installed.
