Hey guys, Our BT router went down just over a week ago and I wound up paying out 26 quid to get another router for purposes of extending the range of a family members router (who lives next door) over to the opposite side of our house while we waited for ours to be fixed / replaced.

Our router has now been replaced by BT so this little repeater / router is now redundant and I'm posting it here incase anyone else is interested in it.

Its the type that has an RJ-45 (Ethernet) port on the WAN socket instead of an RJ-11 Telephone socket so will need the appropriate hardware if you want to use it as your main router. Otherwise it is a great range extender / access point for any router that has WDS (Wireless Distribution System) which was the primary purpose I used it for, and can be used like most routers as a seperate DHCP server or for segmenting a network into 2 logical networks (setting your main router on your main network as the gateway) or anything else you can use a separate ethernet router for provided you have the appropriate know-how.

Should be good for making any wired network consoles or amigas wireless provided your main router has WDS, too.

It's also 802.11N spec so nice and up to date for the latest wireless cards etc.

"Transmission speed is approximately three times that of 802.11g products, while transmission rate is nearly doubled. Also, the WDS (Wireless Distribution System) supports the bridging of wireless routers in order to increase the wireless coverage area.
With features like an easy-to-use Tenda setup wizard, URL/MAC address filtering, and QoS (Quality of Service) bandwidth control over specific IPs, parents and network administrators will find managing the network a breeze. The W268R provides small offices and households a simple but effective solution for a safe and stable network with good speed.
