Over the next few days we'll be testing some Brand New-Old Stock, Chromatic Mpact2 Blazer boards that are in "Virgin" condition. They were Bulk-Packed for OEM Sales. Got the whole lot directly from Chromatic Research (Calif) back in the day (early 1997).
All boards have the same markings and so we'll embark on testing the different configurations and seeing if the software upgrade will bring them all to the same top tier status. These products were originally sold as "pay-to-unlock-additional-options that stepped the base AGV model up to PRO, then to MAX and to MAX with DVD (just going from memory).
We're still looking through the relevant install documentation, so we welcome any tips or comments on where the mines are buried, before we get started.
RE: Attached Image : the CD's in jewel cases are mediaware v1.4 and v2.0 demos. CDs to left of Floppy are Install Disks v1.4 and v2.0. The Floppy contains the Mediaware firmware upgrade to v2.0 Tool. CD to the right of Floppy is Sales Marketing Disc.
