I gues i have two options.

1. Wait untill anthony gets home from work again ( about 1 year from now)
2. Sell the case and other parts and buy myself somthing else.

Cant belive it, the ******* 3000 just booted.

I changed the J102 to 1-2 instead of 2-3 and it just fierd up.

Using
J100 1-2
J102 1-2
J103 2-3
J104 2-3

How come it only works when J102 is at 1-2 with the internal CPU?
I have not seen one singel person with that at 1-2

hey dont knock if it works now:lol: maybe it was just a bad jumper.

I think its wird, i have followed all the guids and pointers left on the forums and these are the jumper settings every one say will work.

100 3-4
102 1-2
104 1-2
103 2-3

103 1-2

030
100 1-2
102 2-3
104 1-2
103 2-3

and as you can see J102 is almost always at 2-3 so i did not change that, but now when i just gofed around with it one last time before selling it off i just tried some random settings and it worked.

Cant understand why :)

still its good news isent it?:) the machine probably heard you and was thinking, "bugger this im working:lol:"

Just for your information, my Apollo 4060 (060 rev6) refuses to boot at more than 66MHZ on the A3000T. On the A4000D, it can reach 80MHZ...

The battery is looking bad...
On my own A3000T was this the problem....
Replace the battery and take a look to the lines under the battery.

could be, the alkaline from these can corrode traces.if its really bad it can run down the board in the direction of the zorro slots.through the fpu.

As i said before, the picture in the first thread is just for display so ppl can see the jumper placement and other things to help me out, its not my motherboard.

This is my battery area, and it was spotless before when i did not have one but used a cordlessphone battery. This battery was installed by anthony 1 month ago.

Yeah jumper settings wouldn't be the first time to have it wrong.
Have had it myself lots of times.

But it works, that is what counts.
