I fell in love with Bastila Shan on KOTOR, sorry I mean my Jedi character did.... wow what a game and story. Interesting you experienced it on XBox..

Why? It was developed in the Xbox and released on that platform first. I purchased it on the day of release.

The PC version didn't appear until 4 months later, and the Mac version a whole year later.

The PC version was quite buggy at release and only more recently fixed for its Steam release. I've since replayed it on PC.

You can now get it on android but I can't see it would play as well with touch controls. Anyone played it?

We really need a third game in the series. It's been too long. The MMO The Old Republic, based in the same eta and game series is great, but although I've played it a lot and the instanced story missions are great, it still isn't as good as the single player games.

Civilization (Amiga)
WWF No Mercy (N64)
Deluxe Galaga/Warblade (Amiga/PC)
Worms Directors Cut (Amiga)
MasterBlaster (Amiga)
Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2 (XBox 360)
Alien Breed 3D (Amiga)
New Super Mario Bros. (DS/Wii)
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (PS1)
Sonic The Hedgehog (Sega Megadrive)

The above games I have long lasting, pleasant memories of and always enjoy when I replay them.

I picked it up too on Xbox, but much much later in the console's lifecycle - I didn't realise it was developed with the console first in mind. That seems quite unusual for what would might typically be seen as a PC title. I'm glad I experienced it.

I did also like KOTOR II (again on Xbox), but much preferred the original KOTOR.

Not played the tablet version. Would be good to hear from someone that has, I think the graphics were touched up for that release too.

To figure out the best games ever; that's really hard. There have been so many good games, each in its own way. But if you really want the overall ones, here they are from my personal point of view:

Arcade: Mortal Combat 2 / second place: house of the dead

Amiga: Secret of Monkey Island (sorry Lotus 3, Battle Isle, Civilization, The Manager, Ports of Call, Speedball2, North&South, Silkworm, Moonstone, Indiana Jones and all the other great games: nobody can beat the mighty pirate:smile:) level design, characters, music and interface are perfect.

NES: Legend of Zelda (this game also gets the my personal inofficial "Master of Programming Award", I think the game is only 128KB on the cartridge, just think about the size of a mouse driver today)

SNES: Super Mario World

WII: Rayman Rabbids TV Party (I have no idea what the french guys smoked before they did this game but it is lovely)

PC:C&C Red Alert (followed by Wing Commander 3, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Battlefield 1942, Diablo2, Hearts of Iron 2, Civilization 3, X-Wing Alliance)

PS3: GTA 5 (the size and variety of the maps and actions is unbelievable)

Zelda Links awakening GB (my first GB game)
Pokemon Blue GB (I have theses emulated on my phone and complete them again every 6-8 months :) )
Zelda OoT
Civ 2
Far Cry3 PS3
Skyrim Ps3 (even tho it was buggy and loading was awful)

Top out of them all is
FC3, i had just had a kid and had stopped gaming, someone recommended this to me and i was taken back by the graphics, the story and game play. Got me back into gaming I just couldn't put it down

PC? Commander and Conquer Zero Hour

Amiga? Senisble World of Soccer

Apple IIc - Ali Baba, Lode Runner, Pest Patrol
ZX Spectrum - Elite, Silent Service, Dark Sceptre
C64 - Pirates!
Amiga - Reunion, Frontier, Settlers 1-2, Cannon Fodder 1-2
PC - Frontier, Frontier: First Encounters, Settlers 4/Anniversary, Falcon 4.0 and derivatives, Silent Hunter series, C&C Zero Hour
PC/consoles - Mass Effect series, Fallout series

Super Mario World has to clinch this one for me as everything about it was perfect. The joy of discovery, the secret exits, bits of the levels you couldn't access yet due to not hitting the blocks along with everything else just made it such a rewarding experience.

I don't think there is any other dev on the planet who can craft games as well as Nintendo as they make titles you want to play without any rushed botch jobs or cheapness that makes you want to break your controller. Busy finishing Super Mario Galaxy at the moment and it gives me the same buzz as SMW did way back when which makes their efforts stand head and shoulders above <insert franchise name> + 1.

The best for me would be a choice of the following,

Halo 4 - XBOX 360 (online / offline campaign),
Wii Sports - Nintendo Wii (offline),
State of Decay 2 - XBOX ONE (online),
Destiny 1 & 2 - XBOX ONE (online),
GTA IV - XBOX ONE (online / offline story mode),
FORZA HORIZON 4 - XBOX ONE (online).

These games are the best and most enjoyed games I have ever played with my Wifey and Nephew and because of this choosing just one is a difficult choice.

If i had to choose just one , then my best to date would have to be State of Decay 2 online with my Wifey.

Funny i've barely kept up with Amibay recently and the one night I log in I see this topic back in the recent posts!

I said back in 2016 that UT was the best game I have ever played, and that has not changed. But what has changed is in 2018 I got sucked back in when I realised UT4 was never going to be completed and went back to playing UT1 online in a small instagib gaming community complete with clan leagues and draft cups :)

Here is a clip of the type of thing that keeps me playing this game:
