It's with sad news that I want to share that my brother-in-law, Tim Stretton, passed away, aged 41, on February 22nd after a 2 year battle with liver cancer.

He was only given 3-6 months to live, but with determination and drug trials he managed to live 2 years. He enjoyed the time he had left as best he could, going on holiday with friends to Turkey, Portugal, and Cornwall, as well as visiting us and his mum in Bognor Regis a few times. He even managed to drive down to see us 2 weeks before his death, wanting to see the sea; he was always very determined to maintain his independence.

Although not a member on here, he was a huge lover of gaming and technology. He mainly stuck to current systems, rather then retro, but was a big fan of Nintendo and Playstation. And loved his big screen TVs and sounds systems.

His funeral took place last weekend at Trowbridge Crematorium, with a lot of friends and family attending. My wife (his sister) worked really hard to plan and write his eulogy, and created a very nice day for everyone to say goodbye.

We now have the task of sorting out his house and belongings, which will be hard work.

We have been collecting donations for cancer research in his memory. If anyone here would like to donate you can at:

This is so sad I feel for you, lost my Dad to Cancer in 2011 after a year before getting told he was in the clear....

Donation made, deepest Condolences to you and your family @Harrison

My sincere condolences mate, i can feel you. Lost my brother-in-law too, just before past Christmas of heart attack. He was 53, and left behind a wife and 4 children 2 of which are minors. Had plenty of deaths in our family the past 3 years..

Thanks everyone for the kind words, and for donations made to the Cancer research page. Fighting this by catching it as early as possible and finding cures can't come soon enough.

Sorry to hear about your losses, Harrison and Sardine. My deepest condolences to you both.
