I had a surprise mail tonight from someone dead keen for me to ship my 1200 et al to the States.

How best should I approach this?

He's quite happy to pay whatever it costs. How much am I looking at, roughly?

Best handler? Time taken?

Thanks in advance

try the usual suspects, any courier that you favour although Royal mail are generally the dearest.

parcel money give you a selection of companies.

5 kg £25 or so but make sure you get insurance.

Check parcel2go, their economy service is delivered by FedEx, they deliver within 5 days and will cost about £50

Keep the dimensions as small as possible but allow enough space for adequate packing. They charge based in size and weight. You will need to complete customs forms and an fcc form, the fcc id is printed on the motherboard.

Good luck. Ps, no point shipping the psu as it's no good in USA

I just posted an A600 to the USA using UPS via parcel2go. Packed weight was about 4kg and it cost a total of £34.24 (insured to the value of £115). They picked it up yesterday and today it was showing as reached Philadelphia with delivery expected tomorrow.

The only awkward part was filling in all the customs/fcc forms.
