Calling Facebook users "journalists" is probably the biggest insult to journalists that one could make.

Bryce.

As per my post I'm talking about actual Journalists, from large online publications such as Metro. They are one of the worst for it. Not just random Facebook users, but the things that get shared which are usually from high profile websites.

Ah, ok. I misunderstood that.

Btw: Now that 24 hours have past. I can say with certainty that the post WASN'T the most amazing thing I saw yesterday. It was actually the 4th most amazing thing I saw (yes it wasn't a very spectacular day on the whole).

Bryce.

What is AmiBay forum then if not a social network?
Internet forums are places where people with mutual interests hang out and chat. "Social networking" sites are systems designed to appropriate and commoditize human interaction and relationships for the purpose of selling them to advertisers. One is a hell of a lot less cartoon-supervillain-ey than the other.

Social networks are evil...

What is AmiBay forum then if not a social network?

wiki: A social network is a social structure made up of a set of social actors (such as individuals or organizations) and a set of the dyadic ties between these actors.

Now there are no network here. while you can have "friends", that doesn't provide a social structure. Amibay lacks the structure of a social networking site.

Has anybody else noticed that every single news headline or shared link you see on Facebook these days says something along the lines of:

"This is the most amazing photo you will see today"

"What this man did will change the way you live your life forever"

"You will not believe what this girl did next"

"Nothing will prepare you for the awesomeness of this gesture"

It's clickbait. There's nothing to be seen at the other end. It's just a form of viral bulls:censored:t. The headlines are deliberately designed to entice you to click on them.
