Hi!
First, if you have time and want to know why, this is the explanation about why i'm selling this computer (if you're not interested, just skip the paragraph):
As this is something some of you are also experiencing, sometimes you preffer to let some item go not because you don't have physical space for it, but because the spare time you have for retro computing gets used in other machines, and this is just the case with this little boy. I have a maxxed out HP Vectra retro PC that gets all the attention when I want to do some MSDOS things and not any of the other systems in my collection, so finally the libretto is caged and sad, and it's a pending task to setup the software and configure things... and I think this won't change in a very long time, so it's better to let other people enjoy it
Second: I didn't check it before, but after interest from @Shagggy to ship this item to USA, and checking all the paperwork for an item at this price, I would like to sell this computer just inside Europe or UK (I've sent items to other UK users here in amibay). Sorry for not having this clear from the start...
I'll sell my mini laptop Toshiba Libretto 100ct, which is in very good condition, given that usually this machines frecuently shows cracks in it's case. In fact it shows a very little crack in the left side of the case where the screen latch hides when the laptop is closed, everything else is good state.
- Upgraded to 64mb of ram
- 6GB IDE hd with a WIN98 installation from it's previous owner
- Keyboard works ok
- Image and sound are good
- Mouse Stick and buttons works (but this is not very practical, I've used the mouse stick on several libretto, and they works but you'll want to use a ps2 mouse)
- Mother board Battery is taken out to avoid it ruining the MB (it was empty, too, so better out of the place, it's provided, so if you want to put other one you have the previous model as sample)
- Main battery doesn't hold any charge, if you disconnect the power cable, the computer just turns off
I'll include the following extra items:
- Cable adapter for Audio out (in the computer it has a little 2.5 jack, included adapter to standard 3.5 jack)
- 2 expansion port addons, which provides the computes with outpu VGA, printer port, serial port and ps2 port
- 2 original Toshiba power bricks
Also, these other items included, but these came with past buys (I purchased other librettos in the past, and they had these, but finally sold those libretto to get the more powerfull 100ct... anyway, finally I got more interested in "normal size" retro PC
)
- PCMCIA 5.5GB hard disk. I've connected it to the computer, and it detects correctly, but can't see it as a hard drive in windows explorer nor physical hard drive in fdisk, so I don't know how to use it or if it works well
- PCMCIA Toshiba CDROM with pcmcia card and power brick, I don't have the driver disk, so when I connect it to the computer it recognices it and asks for the controller.
- PCMCIA USB card with two usb ports, I have no drivers for this too, so I don't know if this work
- PCMCIA 3.5" floppy disk. I've used this some months ago, but this past weekend when I did the photos and test it, it connected ok, and worked when it should, but gives read errors, I don't know if it's because it needs some head cleaning or I've used a bad floppy (the few ones I have are very old) or anything else...
As you can see, there are some items that could be tinkered with to search for drivers and configure/fix things out, but I would rather spend time on the big PC retro computer than on this one, so I tell you all I know about it, the good and the bad
About the price: 320 euros for all, plus shipping and paypal commissions (if not using F&F)
