Hi all, this is a spare xbox console i had. It is tsop modded with Evox M8 bios and has a 500Gb Sata HDD fitted. The drive is split as 2 229Gb partitions (F & G). It boots directly into XBMC which is updated to latest version as of last week.

It comes as console, power cable, av cable, 3rd party controller and 4 games.

The dvd drive does work although i make no guarantees how well and it does occasionally stick when opening, a tap on the lid usually makes it open fine. I have tested the drive by ripping King Kong game to the hard drive which ripped and booted fine. I have not tested any of the other games.

I can install various emulators for the buyer, these can be discussed via pm.

I am asking £40 (was £50) plus p&p

Payment by PayPal gift or plus fees please

Hi Scrappy - might be interested, depending on Xbox revision?

Interesting. Didn't know that a SATA HDD can be used in a system like that, which requires a SATA to IDE adapter, if my memory serves me right.

Yes, they are ide as default drives but there are compatible ide-sata adapters.

sorry to pollute your thread.

I'm using a SATA to IDE and it works great (bit of a delay at boot) unless I soft reboot then I get the green microsoft text error scree so I have to turn of then on for every game. (cant remember off top of my head which mod chip I have)

I was using a red PCB sata adapter from DealExtreme which was working fine from cold boot although with approx a minute delay but giving error 13 (dashboard couldn't be launched) when using in game reset, I changed the sata adapter for one recommended on a Facebook group and I've had no issues since and there's practically no delay on startup. The adapter I'm using now and the one in this box ingot from Amazon uk, called HDE. it comes as a double pack (2 adapters) direct from the manufacturer in the USA and took about a week to arrive.

mate thats great info, any chance you could share a link or give the full name? ide sata adaptor hde isnt returning it for me right now on amazon. cheers! :)
