Upgrade my 1200 or 600

Hi, I was very much into Amigas at the age of 4-10ish It was way before I started to become technical with computers so my knowledge is basic.

I still use my Amigas for games the last few years but want to start Upgrading them so I have a few questions.

Whats the latest OS I can install after upgrades without throwing 1000s at it. I don't want to rebuild into an ATX case

What are the best solutions to upgrade for best possible performance?

I have a 500, 500+, 600, and 1200. all stock

This time last year I would have guessed the 1200 was best, but I have been looking around and these Vampire 600 V2 card seriously kick ass! I don't think I have seen a 1200 perform as fast. Is there something similar for the 1200?

Anyway. I need to decide what's best, I'd like to upgrade one very soon, I'll be using it for WHDload and games primarily but looking foward to geeking around and installing MP3 and MPEG player and web browser. Just for kicks mainly. Mostly going to be used for gaming.

Vampire for Amiga 1200

there are versions for 600 and very soon 500, best performance vs price you can get, HDMI, sd card etc,

Seems your only over the mersey from me I ordered a V-600 for now, will get the V500 very soon, then WAIT........ then get a a v1200

Need to get my miggys to a decent state before they deteriorate, ordered sets of caps for them all too.
