I've gone clockport crazy on my Checkmate 1500+ (A1200) Build (Click Me).

I recently bought an Amiga 1200 Gayle Adapter (Revision G) (Click Me) to give me another clockport to allow for the addition of an AmiblasterCP and also work with a FastATA.

Currently, the System is fitted with a 2 port clockport expander (Clock port Expander II) which allowed me to fit a Subway USB and Prelude 1200.

To get the system to work I had to attach the AmiblasterCP and Prelude 1200 to the Clockport expander and then use the SubwayUSB with the Gayle adapter clockport.

firstly I had to use the A600 subway driver as detailed for the subway to work with the Gayle adapter.

This allows the system to work however if i start the subway with Poseidon stack the Prelude starts clicking through the speaker.

Now it mentions on this site linked above to use this software on Aminet however the instructions aren't the best or I'm reading them wrong (probably the latter 😆).

if I use the Clockport GUI and reset all the ports the system seems to work fine and no more clicking.

is there away to assign the ports so there is no conflicts on startup?

Hey Tim, quick question. I was wondering, do you have to follow the header connections by number on those clock port expander boards?

I have one that has 1- 4 connectors.

Keep in mind that using a lot of clockport devices there might be conflicts. The clockport is no Zorro. But clicking sound could be some ground (GND/Shield) problem.

Good Morning

@IAmAddicted, the clicking sound is definitely due to conflict because as I said if I load up the clockport Gui and use the mouse to reset the address this seems to fix the issue.

@Watson my clockport expander is only 2 ports. at the time of my build it was the only one I could find which wrapped around the kickstart roms bringing the 2 Clockports to the front of the machine and keeping clear of the BVision graphics card. so it is fully populated with the prelude 1200 and the AmiblasterCP now.

That link is dead now, and the headings at the top of the site's main page don't work. Is there another page with information?

I bought a few Gayle adapters from the link Tim posted above and could not get case to close when I installed the Freeway CP cable onto it, the keyboard was sitting on top. Now I'm looking for another clockport expander rev h or higher I believe to get a rtc working
