I am trying to setup a CF with WHDLoad and games on it without installing Workbench. I am using TinyLauncher to launch games. When I try and select a game to play, I get this error (in shell):

"Device not available"

What is this about please? Thanks!

Why not installing Workbench, unless you mean not to load Workbench but TinyLauncher at start instead.

My plan (if possible) is to not install WB at all (no reason in particular, just to see if it can be done). What I did so far:

- created folders C, S, Games (with a couple of games in this folder of course) and Devs/kickstarts
- put files whdload, whdload.key, tinylauncher in C
- put startup-sequence in S (launches tinylauncher)
- copied all the kickstart stuff in devs/kickstarts

I assume that I need a couple of more files to get things up and running?

I don't think it is needed to run. I know this because on a clean Workbench 3.1 installation I copied only the whload executable file in C and used Tinylauncher and games worked fine. So, must be something else that I am missing.

Update: The problem is with Tinylauncher because if I try to launch a game manually it works fine. Any idea what Tinylauncher is looking for?

Urgh... I really don't remember, and I have TinyLauncher on my CDTV. Try with X-Bench too.
