you can get the adapters from eBay for around £4 including postage.

here is an eBay BIN for 10 such devices :D

Don't those adapters convert the wrong way for what is wanted?

Got some IBM UltraStars 9 & 18Gb, but I think there not 50 pin, according to Google there 68 pin, I don't have any adaptors :(

No good to you?

How many Ultrastars do you have, what size are they and how much? Amazing how chat can "spin" things! - if you pardon the phun! :)

@ BingoX

Yeah man, ur dead right. Those connectors are for a 50Pin SCSI Device to a 68Pin Cable. :wink:

@all

those adapter are bi-directional... as with all scsi its backwards compatible

68pin devices will work with 50pin connections,

it matters not which way you plug it ;)

I don`t doub`t they are bi-directional, but afaik, the Standard set is the SCSI Drive will have 68Pin Female Header, the same as the ones in the link, but unless you have Male-male converter as well, they wont hook upto the Drive. Likewise with the 50Pin side of those connectors. You would need a male - male 50pin convertor to get them onto a 50 Pin cable.
This is why BingoX said they were the wrong ones, as you can buy connectors the other way around. :wink:

Technically, the ones in the Link are to put a 50Pin SCSI Device onto a 68Pin cable, but not the other way round. :)

No need Keith, BingoX made the call first. He was right really without need for an explanation; - if you see what I mean! :wink:
