the basic idea of this is stolen from the epic "Post here everytime you get something new!" thread.

but instead of what you with money have managed to buy, this thread is for things you have made yourself that you are proud of.

to get the ball rolling, i have wanted a race seat computer chair for years but could not justify the 2-300 price mark.

So i acquired a Ferrari F40 seat, made a base plate out of ali, i then took the wheels, tilt and swivel section from an old office chair and merged the pair together, now i have a race seat computing chair!! wooohooo! lol, it helps hold me in place while experiencing all that g-force in Forza 4!

nice mate i need a new chair my gas has gone as when i sit on it it drops

That's awesome Justin - I love the fact that it's a proper Ferari chair (of course!).

My thing wasn't made today as such but was picked up from the framers today :)

I painted it mid last week and I'm rather proud of it; as for once - everything I was trying just seemed to work.

Oil on Canvas - framed in white curved wood inset and Deep Black Box wood outer. Bloomin framing was just short of £100 but I guess it's a decent frame and the painting is about a meter in length.

Cheers

John

Very nice everyone! I'll have to see how creative I can get. Last thing I assembled was my PETdisk. Of course, that was just assembly, not original projects like yours.

Hinge 'n Bracket!

Picked up an old DVD/Card reader from the dark side(feebay). The guy said it was in perfect working order, hardly used. Received it yesterday, smelling of old nicotine, full of fluff and worst of all the laser head mechanism was rattling around inside. One of the slide rails had a broken bracket and the traversing slide helix thing snapped off.

So I made a hige to replace the plastic tags that hold the two white bits together.
