I sent a 1200 for a pcmcia replacement in June (also sent a new pcmcia), along with a Re-amiga 1200 for he built for me that had some sort of residue "growing" under the Ram chips causing it to lose all chip ram after a few minutes of uptime. I cant get any reply as to what is going on right now through his site, email or discord. I'd be happy just to arrange them be shipped back now.

Too busy pulling this sort of false advertising over on Amiga.org to bother with his customers I’m afraid:

Interesting to see all these bad experiences. Definitely putting me on the fence for using them again. With RP and Amigakit not running their business "optimally " I see an opportunity for a UK based amiga/retro business to flourish.

I used RP a few years ago for a recap and sonic cleaning of my CD32 from back in the day.
Board was in a terrible state when I sent it, they took a very long time (I expected that as I was told by a mate they are very busy)

They did a decent job with the recap.... except... after a couple of years I noticed they put the 2 caps near the switch backwards. Yes I know they are meant to be the opposite of what is marked on the silk screen, but mine were already correct before I sent the board. (Took before and after pics)

Luckily, I learned a lot more about electronics in the last year, so it was simple enough for me to swap them around.

I did not contact them as a long time had passed and probably would have ignored me. I was lucky because I learned a few things and was able to detect and fix the problem, but this could have easily been missed by the average user... and good luck sending the board back to them to fix their mistake!

I believe Amigakit at least tries to run itself as a business , but Steve Clifford is blinded by his own psychosocial issues to do more than give lip service to the fact he doesn't really seem to care about his customers.

Well I ordered a translucent blue A1200 case off his eBay store, and even through eBay it has taken him 2 weeks to get the case to the international exporter - some service eBay supposedly offers, and it is just now heading my way.

He responded with a deceiving email when I asked what the tracking number was, implying the exporter had the package in their possession, but he had not even sent it to them. When I followed up asking if the exporter had the package from him received no response. Shady tactics.

But at least I should receive the case sometime soon. Had I ordered directly from his website who knows how long it would take.
At least through eBay you can leave feedback.

Sorry about your troubles, but have you read through the previous 5 pages about him, Steve Clifford, here?

Since he is banned from Amibay, go to the Reddit r/Amiga area and post a negative comment there; he reads those (as he does his free advertisements there) and usually responds within 48 hours or less to keep up the pretence of being a responsible seller.

Just some further clarification what this guy gets up to 😳😬

I had a heated discussion with him in one Amiga fb group. I bashed retropassionuk in one of my messages and he originally pretended to be someone else asking 'what's wrong with them'. I replied 'with HIM'. He then started saying a bunch of 'I do this, I have 99% ebay positive blah blah' and when I posted that he was forced to refund me after 13 emails, most unanswered, and 3 phonecalls where I left a message to answering machine plus asking my bank to dispute transaction, he disappeared. I also wrote that he didn't send my order after almost 45 days from payment and he mentioned May bank holiday. Yeah, right, 45 days bank holiday.... The guy doesn't know what respect to his clients is.

Yes I had previously read the thread, but had thought that ordering off eBay would be different as I assumed he valued his reputation there, and I knew that if there was a problem that eBay typically sides with the seller as they should IMO. And eBay did as within seconds of filing my claim they refunded me in full.

I still have an open order for a translucent purple 1200 case, and he is the only seller so keeping things civil.

You can pre-order that case from here:

Received my copy of AmigaOS 3.2 from www.simulant.uk and it landed on my doormat in less than 7 days after ordering it, that includes the bank holiday, pretty good IMO
Sods Law would have it that I found this thread one day after ordering my Kickstart Roms from RP. I wait with baited breath.........

RP was fine when I ordered 3.2 and ROMs from him last year. Seems to be luck of the draw. Wouldn't worry.

What forums is RP on I guess I have to go there to get a answer to where my order is since he does not answer and message on his web site!

He has been banned and removed on here a couple of years ago. I believe for scalping off others on here to sell for a profit?
He did run the roost over at EAB, by allegedly bribing a certain Admin/Mod over there to Ban anyone who showed him to what he was. Someone who took peoples money and ran. Leaving his customers to seek support over on EAB.
I believe he maybe on Facebook?
Member kin_hell over on EAB was a known Associate and part of the RPUK fan club. Maybe he can shed light?
You can also try over on Amiga.org. Member AndyFC runs venues. I believe Steve Clifford (RPUK) sometimes goes to these.
RPUK also sells over on Ebay. He has been busy trying to sell A1200.net cases and other peoples gear over there.

Apparently @Amigabill on his YouTube channel is mates with him? According to RPUK’s web page.

Good luck.

He's also on FB.

Look for any of the retro selling pages and you should find him buying stuff to sell on for a profit (n)

I ordered a Buddha from him a few weeks back....it did say it was in stock so i was expecting it the next day or the day after....i messaged him a week later to ask why it had not arrived. Cant remember the exact answer but it was along the lines of i sell stuff in other places apart from ebay (where i ordered it) - that being said it is getting delivered tomorrow....3 weeks later. He did my A4000 TX converstion back at the start of the year...said it would take a couple of months as he was busy...he was bang on...got it two months later (i was in no hurry so it didnt matter). Im currently having problems with the IDE drive port (os installer doesnt see anything plugged into it) hence the buddha order. I messaged him last week. He's happy to have it back to check it but not til the new year as hes busy. On the whole ive been happy with his service - stuff takes longer to turn up but, hes a one man band i guess...

You only want to buy his stuff off ebay as he will ship those orders in a reasonable amount of time while orders off his webstore go unfulfilled, presumably as ebay will not tolerate his bad behavior.
