I have a Rev2B board that is going in for a re-cap and possibly timing fixes maybe.

It is currently sitting with Kickstart 3.0 roms and an ACT Apollo 1230 MK3 (single sim slot 32mb ram).

It appears to not like running the grapevine magazines? they refuse to work no matter what I do! I tried a few older whdloads right up to
the latest one (18.9.6601?). But the same thing happens, complains about expmen this and that, if I push too hard it will guru.

So I pulled the Apollo and fitted a Blizzard 1230 MKIV. All the problems are gone! all of the grapevine's work...

I am clueless as to what is going on? is the apollo not happy with things? other demos and games seem to work, but the blizzard makes
it all 100% rock solid!

I am not intending on keeping the apollo for main use though, just curious why things seem more flakey with it installed!

Some Apollo cards just don't like being plugged into mainboards without the timing fixes.

Having said that, I used to have one that would work fine on a 2A but always refused to work on a 1D4 even after timing fixes and a recap on both boards.

The problem could also be the max transfer rate of the partition. Try to set it on 00x01fe00.

After you set this change unpack the demo or game which doesn't work and try itr with the Apollo card again.

I should have detailed that side of things.

4GB CF Card, PSF3 filesystem and max-transfer settings all done.
