Oh, crud. Does this apply for ACA 020 accelerators as well? (was hoping these dont need fixes!)
Edit: I have noticed that on the A1200 motherboard that I got today, some of the IDE pins are green/black O_O with what looks like gunk.
I have taken a look at the traces and they seem fine to me. What's this green stuff, and more importantly which is the best way to remove it (safely)?
Hmmm on a 2nd inspection I am noticing that there is probably acid (green bits) on the tracks surrounding the IDE port. It seems that one of the caps has leaked
I've got 3 boards here, 2x 1D4 and 1x 2B all re-capped and none have any issues with ACA1230 or ACA1231/2 none have had (to my knowledge) any timing fixes applied.
I think re-capping along with a good PSU is more important.
The only board I had here with ACA1230 troubles was a 1D1 board but the Caps could equally have been the issue, it worked except anything in PCMCIA caused a crash and FastATA wouldn't work either.
