Hi guys, got a question here that will probably make most of you make fun of me, but oh well, here goes...

I got one of those PCMCIA + CF adapters, with the intent of getting some .adf files on the card for later making some real Amiga disks. This also came with a disk with the transfer tools.

I have an A600 and an A1200 I can use this on.

So I went ahead an popped the disk in, without the pcmcia/cf, and I see the tools there and an option to install. I decided to try to install, since on these I also have one of those IDE/CF adapter that it boots from (bought from amibay through ebay and pre-installed cf).

The thing is it installed, no errors, and said the program had been installed in my "Games 1" partition.

The thing is I can't find them installed anywhere... What gives? I know it's probaly very basic, but even though I played the Amiga when it originaly came out, I have no clue regarding it's OS :( (so btw,,of you can point me to an amiga for dummmies that would be awesome).

Thanks!!! :help:

I guess your OS version is a 3.x something, but anyway, have you figured out this might be a 'hidden' file? i.e. one without an icon.
Once you have the drawer opened, click on the Workbench toolbar, Window -> Show -> All Files
If you still can't see your file, it probably isn't there..

if its the same disk I got, it installed the pcmcia drivers.

make a folder on workbench and copy from disk to hdd in dopus the adf / dms tools.

I think it's probably this, since I tried what salaxi54 said and no dice, it was already set to show all files.

Looking at the install again it does seem to say it's only copying the driver, so I guess the tool itself has to be copied manually.

Now I need to get the card reader so I can actually put some adf files on there from my PC!
