Incidentally my Grex setup ran CGX4/Warp3D same as the Bvision but with Voodoo 3 PCI

Just read what is in the .lha of Warp3d v4.2a:

So P96 for Warp3d?

If I still had the hardware I'd be tempted to give it a go! I was always under the impression to use Warp3D with the BVision you needed to go the CGX4 route.

Anyway I fear we've derailed the thread a little lol.

I seem to recall when I put together my recent build of a Prometheus Firebird plus Voodoo 3 then 4. I installed P96 and warp3D 4.2a. The demos worked okay. I know certain demos like “Sulaco” wouldn’t initiate with my PPC Apocalypse. But again that is probably down to not using CGX.

Sorry OP, if this has gone a bit. Just goes to show what a entangled web you can go through 🤣😉👍🏻

Yeah I used P96, Warp3D with Prometheous on an A4k as well as even getting CV64/3D to somewhat work lol

Warp3D works fine with Bvision/CGX4 but I don't think it works with Picasso 96/Bvision as the driver was supplied by Elbox

Edit.

Yeah I've got a PiStorm 32 in my A1200T now in place of the Blizzard, it works with the Mediator (see my project thread) using and old version of Emu68, I've not tried to update it but Warp3D does not work as it needs MMU support which the PiStorm doesn't have currently, for this reason I'm using a Radeon instead of a Voodoo now, more VRAM and runs cooler, can also add Radeon Ram to the system as FastRam
What hardware do you have? I'm trying to get one of the 1200 amigas work to use warp3d but not sure what's best to buy. I'll check your project if I can find it pal. Cheers

Warp3D only works with certain graphics cards such as:

- Blizzard Vision for the Blizzard PPC accelerator (You need Cybergraphx or latest P96 drivers) this will just fit into a tight A1200 standard case.

- Voodoo 3, 4 or 5 PCI cards for Towered system setup’s such as Elbox Mediator 1200 PCI boards. You need older or newer P96 (Formally known as Picaaso96) graphics driver.

- Voodoo 3 or Permedia 2 PCI cards for the old G-Rex 1200 (Tower setup) again with Picasso 96 (P96) driver old or new.

If you have a PPC card that supports Amiga OS 4.1, then I believe the Warp3D setup will work with ATI Radeon 9000 series PCI cards.

For A4000 systems. Then the Zorro-III Phase 5 Cybervision 64/3D cards should work with native Warp3D v4x. Elbox has their own so called tweaked Warp3D V4x for Mediator.

Warp3D unfortunately is not as far as I am aware being worked on and is owned by AEON under license.
