Which system did you grow up on? The Amstrad, C64, ZX Spectrum or BBC Micro!

I had the odd go on a mechanical calculator at school when I was 10. There was some blue plastic thing with white levers that used ball bearings to demonstrate binary arithmetic we had in one lesson when I was 11. Called a Bobcat. Someone bought a Sinclair calculator when I was 13. Got my own when I was 14, broke it up and threw it away when the cheap clicky keys got intermittent when I was 16, and bought a casio fx-something which still works, though I now find it baffles today's kids somewhat [they act like it's sinclair-style RPN]. Think I just missed being in the computer generation!

Just listing the main systems, if people wish to mention other systems just select other, then give your reply :) ( If an admin/mod can add them, then that's cool )

My first machines was an Acorn Electron but as most of my youth I spend on the CPC I voted for that (y)

Sadly, I've lost the fondness I had for it even a few years ago which is a real shame. Hopefully the CPC 4128+ will rekindle my passion.

My brother had a 48k spectrum and I had a C64. They were both awesome! Last Ninja on the 64 and Chaos on the spectrum (and programming) great days! I voted Spectrum as I used it for more than games.
