Hey guys,

I purchased a Commodore 128 with a disk drive 1541-II for nothing more than collectable item. However, I also want to have pleasure on the real machine for fun and entertainment hook my Commodore 128 into network via Ethernet cable and not actual BBS or telephone line or anything like that, just like modern computer. Then I want to use GEOS128 as the main operating system and from within GEOS128 I want to be able to have an IRC client and chat in modern channels like amigaworld.net, amiga.org, morphos, aros, xna, whatever channels in the real life IRC clients you find in windows.

My question is that possible? Second question, if it is possible where can I find all the necessary hardware/software combination to be able to do that?

Thanks in advance.

Well, there's the RR-Net module that gives you ethernet connection. Don't know about terminal softwares for that though.
