Life is a precious thing, we are only here once!

So why the hell have I just wasted nearly 2 hours watching 30 days of night!!!

And why do I watch so many rubbish films late at night?

What stinkers have you seen lately ? Or even stayed awake to watch and thought...it must get better ?

How recently are we talking? 'Cause I'm still recovering from the PTSD inflicted by Transformers 2...how I pity the poor souls who actually saw that in the theater...

Pretty much everything released from 1988 onwards.....

....but for ALL TIME stinkers.... Armageddon.... Independence Day.... Batman & Robin, Batman Forever.... anything with Jim Carrey in it.... anything with Steve Carell in it.... anything with Ben Stiller in it.... anything with Will Ferrell in it....

....I know there is heaps Ive missed, but theres a start. :)

oh i almost forgot one beauty recenty....the land of the lost (i think) Will Ferrell is in it.

why dear god why do people allow him to make films?

The Americans (hollywood) have a unique ability for making streams of awful films with over the top acting that only Americans must like!

Erm, Im hoping any yanks reading this dont take offence..... but americans have NO f&^king clue about comedy.

The english are masters at the genre. Look at Black Books, The Young Ones, Yes Prime Minister, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, The IT Crowd, The Office (UK version not that GOD AWFUL yank remake), Red Dwarf etc.

Not sure why, but Americans dont seem to have ever gotten the hang of 'da funny stuff, but brain dead plotless action movies with heaps of over the top acting, explosions (fart too close to a yank tank and it will burst into flames!), ridiculous coincidences (The President in ID4 just happened to be a fighter pilot.... and gave a patriotic speech as he was climbing into the cockpit of a fighter jet.... on July 4th - come on?!?!?)... and the americans have it down pat.

Unfortuately, only Americans seem to be interested in such "movies". :)

The big bang theory is about the only american comerdy I`ve seen in ages

as for films

Nuns with Big guns :) and Leprechaun.4.In.Space

I`ve watch`d loads of films waiting for the script to turn up so we can work out if the plot is any good

no offence to our American friends, chance are they will agree that most of there films are awful!

WTF?!?!? The creators of Photoshop have a lot to answer for..... :)

Love that helicopter "sitting" that building (same width as the chopper) into oblivion. :)

Even Americans don't generally like them (with some unfortunate exceptions,) we just have a very bad habit of going to see them anyway because there's nothing good in the theater :/

Actually, Hollywood has made some great comedies - they're just all at least thirty years old, and there hasn't been a real golden age for American comedy since the '40s. Watch Arsenic and Old Lace some time if you don't believe me - that's comedy.

I agree with you , Hollywood made some great films in the 40s and 50s. I'm not sure where it all went wrong. Any way you can't claim Cary grant. , he was English as was bob hope too lol :-)

I know this will shock people, but I have said it before. The Absolute worst movie I have ever seen is Avatar! Visually stunning, but the whole movie was an insult to me. I almost walked out on the first time they said "Unitainium". I a mean really, 7 years to make this movie and they couldn't hire a writer.
It reminded me of the family guy episode where Stuwie went out of his way to punch Will Farell in the face. Somebody should have dome that to Cameron of this steaming pile of poo.

Well, yes, Grant was English (and thank you folks so very much for the loan ;)) but a lot of his movies were distinctively American in subject and tone. So there!

Lol that's true but then america is the biggest market , so it's forgivable.

And a have to say I hated avatar , I did walk out after 2 hours !
