Hi all,

I'm after some 1MB 30-pin SIMMs.

Preferably the older ones with 9 RAM chips, as the system they are destined for is picky about the RAM it likes to work with.

@ Firthy2002

I have a load of 30-pin simms at home. If I have some 9-chip ones amongst them, they are yours for the postage cost, OK?

Bad news I'm afraid; I have no 9-chip 30 pin simms. Maybe another member on here can help? It would help us all if we knew what equipment the simms were for.

It's for an Amstrad ALT-386SX portable computer.

I want to upgrade the RAM from the 1MB it has currently to the motherboard supported maximum of 4MB. But from what I've read online, it is choosy about the SIMMs it will work with and apparently the older 9 chip types have a higher success rate than the newer kind with less chips on them.
