Closed WTB: A3000 Keyboard

Ok, I am trying this again.
I wish to buy an A3000 keyboard. I will say again, AN A3000 Keyboard!!!!!.
NOT AN A2000 keyboard.
Apparently, there is a whole lot of confusion between the 2, and 3 times now, I have asked and paid for an A3000 keyboard and have been shipped a A2000 keyboard because people don't know the difference.

This is what I am looking for.

This is what people keep sending me.
I am not sure why the confusion, or if people are just trying to unload these A2000 keyboards at unheard of prices. Locally I can pick these A2000 keyboards for less than $5 a piece.
I am willing to pay up to $40 USD for a nice white A3000 keyboard.
Hint: The A3000 keyboard has FINS to match the front of the A3000.
Boy is this frustrating.

Yeah, both keyboards are identical internally and share the same behaviour, DIN plug and chord, but not the external case.

I can't understand what is so hard about it, I can see one person being confused, but everyone I have talked to seems to find this confusing. 3 separate payments to 3 different people, and NOBODY seems to see a difference. I am now memorizing the Commodore Part number, as that seems the less confusing way to tell them apart. I can spot the differences a long way off. People can spot the differences right off, between an A500 and an A1200, but they find this confusing?
BTW;
A2000 is Commodore part number 32716-02
A3000 is Commodore part number 364447-01

And I suppose it doesn't help that the A3000 keyboard looks identical to the A4000 keyboard except it has a 5pin din (A3000) rather than the PS/2 (A4000) connector.

It's probably my Age, but then again, there really is no easy way to compare the Photos above in order to see the differences. The top Pic has fins between the F Keys & the KB Logo which definitely match the A3KD front.

Don't wanna sound like I don't know. I've owned an A3KD back in the late 80's & early 90's & can also appreciate your frustrations if folk keep sending you the wrong KB. However, some more clarity in the pictures for comparative purposes might just stop it happening again.

Right now, I have a beautiful Immaculate BIG-DIN KB here & it will work in A2/3K's as is or in an A4K with a reducer. It just plugs straight into the A4KT.

PS mine definitely has the Fins as per the Floppy Panels on A3KD. Shipping to Canada will be expensive as this is around 2Kg+ with packing! - Do you want me to get you a quote m8?

Have one for sale & listed in Hardware for sale section, but I won't be encouraging you as you are searching fo a white one

I also have been searching for a white one, with no success yet.
So there is two of us

On eab.abime.net there is an article how to get rid of yellowing http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=37808. I personally haven't tried it yet, but if I don't find another A3000 but white kbrd, I probably consider solution with peroxide as results are claimed to be pretty good.

A3000 kbrd's are quite hard to get I noticed, even eBay hasn't got them too often. That's not good damn it

The big problem here is sourcing HP solution, at the moment, I can only get 0.3 Percent solution, and that is not enough to do anything. The sad thing is that a decent (although a bit yellow keyboard came up for Auction last week on bay and sold for only $9.99. I did not bid, because I thought that a "Nice" one was on its way. I thank everyone though, although its pending, it looks like I may have one from Amiga.org, but we shall see.[attachment=0:39xpmj0l]244230981_o.jpg[/attachment:39xpmj0l]

Hopefully this one is a bit better photo. You can't tell me that CBM ever shipped these keyboard with an A3000D. Now maybe these match the A3000 tower systems a bit better, but it would look like a sore thumb with a NEW A3000 system. The look of these keyboards are as different as night to day. The A2000 is much rounder, softer looking, besides color, The A3000 is much more streamlined, sharper angles and corners on unit.

There is never any doubt to an A4000 keyboard. There is only one.just like an A1000 unit. But, maybe I am just looking to much at the hardware. I want everything to match.

A suggestion: why you not look for the A3000 keyboard case only? The guts are the same on both devices. :!:
