why does it have electrical tape?
is this the older 10 bit one?
it looks way different then the one on amigakit.
?

The electrical tape is covering the 'join' between the Zorro 'carrier card' and the ISA network card itself. These used to be covered in plastic but, over the years, many have perished and fallen away.

Yes, this is old one.
But this one has clockport and ide.
Price reduced to 135 USD.

Plastic covers socket from back, and tape from front. This is how I get this card about 12 years ago.

what can the clock port give me?
i guess this is a bit better then the new surf, as iDE could be used for a additional IDE to CF.

just trying to figure out to buy this or a new one for $166

Old xsurf gives you clockport (for clockport hardware like sound cards, USB cards, RS232 cards) and IDE (additional drives, but unable to boot from).

New xsurf 100 gives you possibility to install RapidRoad USB module which will enable USB ports at the back of the xsurf100 with the performance near to almighty Deneb.
