Xbox crystal console hard modded and fitted with a 120gb hard disk loaded with goodies. I was given this by a friend about a year ago and always though it was dead. Powered up and got a number 5 error message. I finally realised I had to power up with the disc eject button and it powered up to the mod dash board - my bad! I think its the Executer mod chip installed. Also has XBMC on there. If I start up the xbox with a disk in the drive it loads teh disk fine. If I put a disk in the drive once the dash board has loaded it hangs (not sure why this is, but guess I'm doing something wrong).

Also supplied is a AV and power lead, and S-type controller. The controller is a little tempremental as it works one minute then doesnt respond the next.

£40 plus postage (£7.00). UK only.

hi m8...

It seems like you have an x3 mod chip there..
or atleast an x3 modchip pcb..

you may want to target a diferent audience "like specific xbox forums"
As some people will bite your hand off for an x3 chip.

cant guide or drive prices and what you want is obviously a fair prce as that is what you want.

But if your find it stalls or hard to sell im sure i can find some 1 who wants to buy it from you and i can direct you to a forum where they will be.

Error 5 means the Hard Drive is not locked.

Booting up via the power button loads the standard MS dash I think and it doesn't like seeing an unlocked hard drive.

I'm not sure why it doesn't load games from the dashboard though, anyone know?
I might be interested if someone can confirm whether this is normal behaviour or not.

what id do if i bought it. is
head over to xbins download the x3 bios. "i would check the chip is x3"
i would then tell hexen " a dvd disk for moding" to flash the bios of the x3 chip to m8+ bios. this would then auto install a fresh dash, and clean c partition. "would remove any previous cfg issues"

after i did that i would verify that it really is an x3 chip. and finaly reflash the chip with x3 bios.
Not necisary to flash it with x3.. But seeing as its an x3 chip, and only the x3 chip can use the x3 bios. and the x3 comes with a whole bucket full of extra features making it probablty the most saught after mod chip.
I would probably flash it with x3.

this may sound like a lot of work. really its not.
90% of it can be done from one dvd "hexen" and all that would fix the issues.
and then the final 10% is just flashing the x3 bios back..

if you didnt want to go through that process. you could simply delete the contents of C. and replace that with stock files.
delete most of E drive. and then put your own dash files on there.

easy enough to do if your used to doing that, but if your not then the bios flashing would be the simplest method IMO.
